Thought Field Therapy
Thought Field Therapy (TFT) is a safe and natural healing therapy, which reduces and sometimes eliminates negative emotions that occur around a distressing event, whether real or imagined. It involves simple light touches applied over the acupressure points on the body in small repetitive tapping sequences. It is non invasive and the tapping is carried out by the person on their own body. It is often fast and has no adverse side effects.
TFT was developed over 20 years ago by Dr Roger Callahan and he has dedicated his life to developing tapping algorithms to help with a wide range of emotional upsets and traumas. When we experience a distressing event or thought we have an automatic physiological reaction and this creates our emotion. Sometimes this emotion "sticks" itself to the event so that whenever we think about it the emotion is automatic and sometimes overwhelming even after many years have past. This can stop us from moving on with our lives or remembering happy times with a lost loved one. TFT "unsticks" the emotion and allows relief quickly and easily. Dr Callahan believes disruption in our body's energy flow causes the emotional problems and it is possible to have a reversal of our energy flow too, the good news is it can often be easily corrected. |
Because TFT treats the emotion, not the specific event it can be particularly helpful for someone who does not want to divulge what the event was. The therapist will require details of the emotions in question and will use the relevant algorithm, allowing peace to return and bringing about quick relief from the overwhelming emotion, enabling a complete shift in focus about the event, resulting in very different feelings and behaviour.
TFT can be even more effective when used in combination with Hypnotherapy and NLP and can be used to help with: Addictions (smoking, drinking, over eating), phobias, trauma, grief, anger, embarrassment, anxiety, fears, depression, self sabotage even pain control and jet lag. TFT algorithms are simple to learn, effective and another "Take Away" therapy to add to your "Toolbox for Life". |
